Dr Minalou Fernandez

Dr Minalou Fernandez qualified through the Australian Dental Council after training in the Philippines. She practiced in Auckland before joining the Stafford Dental team.

Mina’s fields of interest in dentistry are Endodontics, Oral surgery, preventive and restorative dentistry. She regularly attends continuing education courses to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in dentistry. She prides herself in her attention to detail and endeavors to treat patients in a comfortable, gentle environment.

Outside of work, Mina is a book worm reading novels of Sidney Sheldon and James Patterson. She also enjoys doing some relaxing activities like walking by the beach and spend time out and about in the picturesque South Canterbury.

Dr Nicholas Chen

Nicholas graduated from the University of Otago with Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He had worked in private practice in Oamaru before joining the Stafford Dental team.

Nicholas enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly restorative dentistry and oral surgery. Clinically, he is a perfectionist and goes over and above to provide the best care to his patients. He is passionate about preventative care and patient education.
Nicholas is caring, has a gentle chairside manner and endeavours to make every patient feel comfortable.

Outside of dentistry, Nicholas enjoys travelling and time with friends and family.

Dr Caroline Gohar

Dr Caroline Gohar is a highly talented Cosmetic Dentist at Stafford Dental Centre. She has achieved amazing “smile makeovers” for many patients and can advise you on the best options for achieving the smile you’ve always wanted.

Dr Caroline graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2008 from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt and completed her Australian Dental Council Examination in 2018.

She has extensive experience in all areas of general and cosmetic dentistry. Her special interests also include root canal treatmentsurgical extractions and working with kids.

Dr Caroline’s passion for dentistry continually drives her to provide optimum patient care with excellent results.

In her spare time, Dr Caroline loves to stay active, believing that a healthy mind needs a healthy body. She is also a self-confessed “coffee connoisseur” and loves to learn about the local coffee culture – ask her for her recommendation!

Dr Rohan Thomas

Dr Rohan Thomas graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery and had worked in a private practice in Oamaru prior to joining the Stafford Dental team.

Rohan enjoys practicing in all aspects of general dentistry and strives to provide bespoke treatment tailored to suit each person’s needs and goals. He is passionate about the role of patient education in preventative dentistry and achieving stable long-term outcomes, and is always happy to answer questions, encourage curiosity, and share his knowledge of the field.

Rohan has a friendly and relaxed personality both in and out of clinic, and likes to create a ‘casual’ and welcoming atmosphere for patients as soon as they step through the door.

Outside of dentistry, Rohan enjoys spending time with his friends, trying new foods and seeing new places.

Michael Sidhom

Dr Michael Sidhom

Michael graduated from James Cook University in Queensland.

He has a wide range of experience having worked in a number of locations such as; Cairns, Launceston Dental Hospital, Townsville, Warwick, and in a busy central city practice in Brisbane where he refined his skill.
Michael enjoys practising all aspects of dentistry and regularly attends continuing education programs to keep up to date with cutting edge treatment protocols. He has a gentle chairside manner and genuinely cares about his patients.

Michael grew up in Timaru and has recently moved back and joined our team. He is approachable, friendly, and strives to make every patient feel comfortable. His emphasis is on providing affordable, personalised, gentle, comprehensive and high quality dental care.

Michael will never make you feel rushed and prides himself on taking the time to get to know each and every one of his patients personally.

Dr Grace Luy-Manuel

Dr Grace Luy-Manuel qualified through the Australian Dental Council after training in the Philippines. She practiced in Gisborne before joining the Stafford Dental team at the end of 2020.

Grace is small in size but has a big heart with a gentle caring nature, earning her patients trust while providing high quality dental care.

Graces has an interest in paediatric dentistry and has an amazing calming effect on children, making treating our young patients a breeze!

In her free time Grace loves to bake and spend time with her Husband and son out and about in the picturesque South Canterbury.

Other than English, Grace speaks fluent Filipino.
